Honey

A 12 year old white bitch with brindle patches who was a top-class racer. She was abandoned at 5 years old when her racing career ended. She is a very lively and loving girl who has said 'no thank-you' to several homes.

Jack

A gorgeous, feisty black 11 year old boy who has always been very unsafe with anything other than his kennel mates. He just loves to play and has taken on a new lease of life now he has two lovely old ladies to keep him company. He is very happy to get visitors especially ones with treats and takes a great interest in everything that is going on at the kennels.

Woody

A cream fawn and now rather grey 11 year old boy who is bird mad and used to be a real handful! He is getting weighed down by his years now but he still likes to go in the paddock and have a trot round and a good sniff. He likes to be groomed and fussed but does spend a lot of time on his bed watching for any bird who may be silly enough to land in his run.

Queenie

This lovely old lady was born on the 22nd of July 1999 in Ireland, she raced for a couple of years and then stayed with the trainer where she helped to train pups to run. She was given to us as she was getting a bit puffed out and we had a home waiting for an “old lady”. Unfortunately the “old lady” didn’t want to be in a home and was completely stressed out as soon as the door was closed. So she came back to Fen Bank and was introduced to Jack and Molly (who has lived with two other bitches before) and is as happy as can be. She runs round the paddock and bounces about two feet in the air, generally behaving like a dog half her age, then goes back in the oldies kennel and sleeps.

Molly

Molly came in with two others who have since gone to the rainbow bridge from a trainer in Middlesex who had kept them into old age (9 or 10). She went off to a home with a lady in Alford who went into hospital and, sadly, couldn’t care for her when she came out. Molly was fostered by one of our volunteers who herself then had an operation for a new hip and her two greyhounds and Molly came to the kennels where she met sponsor dog Jack who had recently lost his kennel mate and the rest is history as they say. Molly is happy and settled with Jack and Queenie.
