Kennel Manager's Choice

Jasper

Born: 2006

Jasper is a loving and affectionate boy, he loves company and is completely non aggressive. He has a great sense of humour, travels well and will enjoy family life where he can join in.

A selection of our other dogs awaiting a home

Edna

Born: 8th April 2007

Edna is friendly and loving with a zest for life and a real spring in her step. She has a few quirks, likes to be active and would keep you fit. She gets on well with larger breeds but is definitely not good with small dogs or cats. Edna is one in a million, fun, interesting and above all very affectionate.

Bill

DONATED BLOOD!

Born: 4th May 2005

A real charmer who's been at the sanctuary since May. He loves everybody!  He walks brilliantly on the lead, has a cheeky playful side to him, and will pull scrunchies out of your hair given the chance. Bill did the sanctuary proud behaving like a gentleman at Midville dog show bringing home 2 rosettes.

Max

Born: 17th August 2006

A 5 year-old handsome young man, Max took a while to settle with another dog in the same kennel as he would rather have the bed to himself. He will make a great pet.

Sammie

Born: 16th May 2006

Sammie arrived at the kennels very subdued and crawling with fleas; 3 months on her blue fur shines and feels like velvet. She has blossomed into a very affectionate pretty lady who knows her own mind, good with large breeds but would prefer not to share a bed.

Harvey

Born: 8th January 2008

A 3 year old cheeky, lively young boy who needs a home with an experienced owner who will keep him in order and help him to know where the boundaries are! In the right home he will be a fantastic and loyal pet.

Breeze

Born: November 2008

A rising 3 year-old lively young lady who is full of beans. Can be strong but is loving and kind. Good with large breeds not yet fully assessed with small dogs or cats.

Badger

Was nicely settled in her new home until a few weeks on, there was an unfortunate incident with a cat. Sadly, Badger had to come back and at the age of nearly 7 is once again looking for her forever home without a cat next door, please.

Prince

Can be a bit of a handful, but with a physically and mentally strong owner he will be the most fabulously loyal and loving pet. He was homed with Badger and it was largely his fault the cat was attacked, and very sad that he had to come back as he was making real progress He is a very loving 5 year-old and very kind natured dog.

Dusty

Born: 1st September 2007

A handsome black dog with bold white markings. He is a multi-tasker who likes to walk, sniff and look around all at the same time. Dusty is good with large dogs and would love someone to share and show him this new and exciting side of life. Are you the one he is looking for?

Roma

Roaming Roma's pretty face and pointed ears appeared at the fence last summer after someone had abandoned her outside the sanctuary. Her condition was OK but a back leg had clearly been broken in the past and healed at a bit of an angle. She is very affectionate, walks well on the lead and is confident around big dogs. Her past is a mystery; maybe you’re the one who can give this loving girl a future to remember..

Blue

Blue is a three year old, lightly raced  affable blue boy who at the moment is being treated for a thyroid problem and will not be available for rehoming until his treatment is complete in approximately 2 months. He is making a good recovery and the condition is not expected to re-occur. Further details in due course.

Cornflake

HOMED

Cornflake is a pretty and very loving 3 year old girl. She loves her kennel companion and will settle well with any male dog or on her own in a family. She loves cuddles  and to be close to you  Could she be your very special friend?

Bonnie

Was reluctantly brought to us by a lady who had rescued her and another girl from the local pound. Unfortunately the two girls didn’t get on and there were a number of cats in the family, so it was all very difficult. Bonnie is 5 and will shortly be spayed. She is excellent with children and ok with other breeds, but best homed with another male dog or possibly alone. She loves to play and apart from the disagreement with the other bitch didn’t put a paw wrong in her previous home.

Ramsey

Ramsey came for a short stay whilst his previous owner was in hospital. Sadly he was unable to go home and has recently been signed over to Fen Bank. Ramsey is an energetic affectionate gentleman who is house trained and really needs a new home before the cold weather sets in.

Penny

Born: July 2008

Lively Penny, whose black coat is sprinkled with “angel kisses”, loves everyone. Her comical ears and helicopter tail will magically make you smile and chuckle. Penny's enthusiasm for life and everyone around her would make her a super family pet.

Hope

HOMED

Born: 26th May 2010

An unexpected arrival at Fen Bank. Hope was covered in mud hiding a bony body and sores. Obviously very under-nourished and neglected. This pretty little girl has a big personality and loves everyone. Hope is young and active and would suite a similar family. Are you the one to give this dog the love she has had missing from her life so far !

Rhys

Rhys is a delightful four and a half year old big black boy. He exists in a permanent state of happiness and likes nothing better than a cuddle and as many kisses as you can give him. He is good with other breeds, playful, and will make a wonderful  friend for a single person or family with older children. He loves children but he is a bit clumsy and large!

Tina

 Born: 1st June 2008

An attractive blue girl with bold white markings. She has a quiet easy going personality. Tina is happy affectionate and lovely on the lead. Is she the one to win your heart?

Gnasher

Born: 16th June 2005

Recently returned to Fen Bank after being bullied by the other family dog, Gnasher needs a quiet home with a warm bed as he feels the cold. He is a gentle well  mannered dog who longs to be back indoors. Maybe yours is the quiet warm home he dreams of...

Radley

Born: 1st December 2010

Radley came to Fen Bank as a puppy, was rehomed and brought up as a family pet. Unfortunately he came back to us after a marriage break up. Radley is house trained has never raced and is good off lead. He is a big strong boy and would make a great pet for an active family with older children. Are you the ones to give this very confused handsome boy the home he deserves.

Sky

Born: May 2008

Is a textbook greyhound in that she is a physically perfect example of her breed  and has the perfect greyhound temperament to match! She also has a wicked sense of humour, is very loving and is  extremely good with all other dogs .She loves to play, will lie quietly on her bed in between and in every respect will make quiet and  perfect pet for either a family or a person on their own. She would make an ideal pet for a first time greyhound owner.

Ryan

Born: November 2008

Is an outstandingly beautiful dark brindle boy who was born in November 2008. He is a very loving boy once he gets to know you, loves his walks and would be an ideal companion for an active family. He is a dog who can be quite self contained and will spend long periods on his bed if there is no-one to play with and is very happy to be on his own or with a girl for company.

Alice

Born: 18th July 2008

The first dog to arrive at Fen Bank in 2012. Alice is a quiet gentle little girl who likes to watch the goings on at the kennels. She waits patiently for her turn in the paddock where she really enjoys herself. Alice needs time to build up her confidence and let her personality blossom.

Update 22nd January.....  Alice is now blossoming into a very happy little girl who loves to play and is wonderful on the lead. No more empty emotionless Alice, this beauty is proving to be a real winner, a winner of hearts !

Carla

Born: 2009 / 10 (ish)

Carla snuck into Fen Bank as a lurcher /whippet cross! On arrival it was obvious she was a cross but of what ? As a greyhound rehoming centre we were placed in a bit of a predicament but as dog lovers we have decided as a ONE OFF to find her a home. She is a very friendly dog, sits when asked and loves a tummy rub. She is full of energy and would probably make a good agility dog. She is a strong energetic girl so not suitable for young children. If you're active and after a small fun loving companion maybe she is the one for you.

Meg

Awaiting profile

Mikey

Born: June 2008

Mikey is a blue ex racer who had no love and care in his life until 2 months ago, but with constant and consistent handling he has come alive and his soft brown eyes sparkle, his true kind nature has emerged as he has grown daily in confidence. He loves a cuddle, is good with medium and large dogs and is learning rapidly that small dogs are just that, and not to be chased. Mikey is a peaceful, loving  boy who would love and richly  deserves a good permanent home with a family or a single person. He loves the company of other dogs and would fit well into a pack or home as a single dog. He is not cat friendly.
